The Sea and the Studio
Dragon Palace is a beautiful, small island shrine between the studio and town. A dirt path leads down the embankment just along a private residence foundation wall. I met the woman who lived next door as she came up from the path with her friendly, golden retriever. People are very friendly here or at least incredibly patient. She directed me very kindly. The beach stones are majestic and the breeze was so welcome!
Studio work is starting to shape up after a full day of ideas and production. The landscape paintings and sculptures are beginning to come together. It’s been years of working in these separate ways and I’m aiming to bring them together both visually and conceptually.
There’s been a slight hiccup with a bit of a bike accident yesterday. I took on a bollard post and the post definitely won. Battered and bruised I’m taking things slowly today.
